Great little fire stick set up. Very easy to use and a good amount of hot sparks discharged per strike. I split the items and relocated them onto a neck cord set up that I made on a recent exercise overseas. Essential to have close by at all time. This is the second Ray Mears Fire stick I have purchased, to finally replace my first one which lasted about 8 years of service! That’s now a stump so I decided to treat myself to a new one. Best fire stick out there for your money I think. Decent thickness and throws a very good mount of sparks. If used properly they last a very long time. Never lets me down. Have used it all over the world. I found the striker (which I prefer to use instead of the back of my knife blade) a little poor so I replaced it with a slightly serrated one. Perhaps a good idea would be for Woodlore to adapt the striker, with one edge being straight and the other slightly serrated, just to give the option. Just an idea. Either way, it’s a great fire stick and I’d recommend it to anyone deliberating over which one to buy. As always, super swift dispatch and delivery from the Woodlore team.
